Ha Giang completes 6,700 social houses for people with meritorious services, poor households

Ha Giang has held a conference to review the Housing Construction Support Program for people with meritorious services, poor veterans and poor households in the province in 2019-2022.
The Program aims to support 2,000 houses. After more than 3 years, the Program received the avid participation of the whole political system, the support of a large number of agencies, businesses, groups, corporations, individuals, benefactors, officials, public servants, public employees and people across the country.
So far, the mountainous province has built 6,700 houses for 249 policy families, people with meritorious services, 605 poor CCB households, 2,086 poor households in border communes and 3,760 poor households in domestic communes.

The total funding of units and individuals for the program is 400,334 million VND and the total number of working days to support households to build houses is 341,766 days. The built houses ensure quality, in accordance with the architecture and traditional houses of ethnic minorities.
In his speech at the event, former State President Truong Tan Sang acknowledged and praised Ha Giang province’s efforts in implementing the Housing Construction Support Program, with results far exceeding the original plan.
To reach this great achievement, Ha Giang received the strong participation of the whole political system and knew how to mobilize the business community, organizations and individuals to contribute funds and work days to realize the Program.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Dang Quoc Khanh said that the newly-built houses have contributed to helping the less fortunate people to stabilize their lives; expressing the spirit of mutual affection and mutual love of the whole social community; acting as a bridge to put the Party’s policies into practice, firmly consolidating the people’s faith in the Party’s leadership line and the State’s policies.
On this occasion, many collectives and individuals with excellent achievements in the implementation of the Program received certificates of merit from the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee./.
